MORPHEUS8 uses microneedling in conjunction with radiofrequency energy to treat the deeper layers of the skin. Microneedling uses tiny needles to repeatedly puncture the surface of the skin, causing controlled trauma that triggers a wound healing response in the area that in turn stimulates your skin to produce collagen. Meanwhile, radiofrequency energy is delivered beneath the surface layers of the skin, and this causes coagulation in the tissues that creates collagen remodelling. The combination of these two skin rejuvenation technologies allows this treatment to target both the upper and lower layers of the skin the epidermis and dermis. This results in deeper remodelling in the lower layers of the skin which improves the resurfacing effects of microneedling.
